I have a dell laptop with at dell wireless wlan mini-card driver, when I installed Ubuntu side by side with Win7 I assume it was missing a wireless driver since that's what it said. Did you make any recent changes to the router? It cannot detect any wlam network at all. Next to the Dell Inspiron E is a Dell latitude having an Intel wireless card which can connect to the wireless network. I dunno if that's the driver for your card, but it couldn't hurt.
