The final tab shows a computer system and has options for opening and closing the CD-ROM and accessing Windows' shutdown, keyboard, mouse, and display utilities. There's a significant delay as you switch from one tab to another as the three-dimensional images load.
No help file is included, but the program did include a demo that goes briefly through each section. iVean's trial version is limited to 15 days. Though the 3D look is well-done, and anyone can use this simple application, it doesn't seem to offer enough substance or functionality to impress most users.

The built-in pop-up 4 also suffered from questionable functionality.
It removed only a few of the ads we tossed at it, and it definitely slowed our Web-surfing experience to a crawl. If you already have a pop-up blocker and don't need real-time monitoring, BotSquash may do, but we'd suggest giving other, more capable programs a shot first.

One of IEscan's biggest miscues is its interface. Though the tabbed design is convenient in theory, certain characters in the wording and drop-down menus appear as mysterious symbols.
Also, the wording that is in English is confusing and makes it hard to understand what the program actually does.
In our tests, the application failed to detect certain BHOs, including a Winsock added by a well-known adware program.
You can kill programs that launch on start-up and running processes, but since IEscan doesn't tell you if entries are potentially malicious, these features aren't too useful. The brightest spot was the tool for blocking certain Web sites, which worked fine.
IEscan may be free, but only patient users are likely to find it worth downloading.
